Ephesians Prayer Guide - Day 22

God has given us every weapon to stand victorious. Whether on or off the battlefield, whether in peace times or in war times, the manifestations of a warrior should be ever present and accessible!

Pray Ephesians 6:10-17

Now my beloved ones, I have saved these most important truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you.

11 Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser! 12 Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage. 13 Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious.

14 Put on truth as a belt to strengthen you to stand in triumph. Put on holiness as the protective armor that covers your heart. 15 Stand on your feet alert, then you’ll always be ready to share the blessings of peace.

16 In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the Evil One! 17–18 Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken Word of God. TPT™

Paul says we are to “stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you”. Do you believe that? So many times we go about life cowering, thinking we are weak, not enough, ill-equipped, not ready, insignificant… Truth, maybe – but the greater truth here is HE HAS ALREADY WON THE BATTLE. He has CONQUERED death and it is that conquering power that we now have access to!

When we enlist to become a part of this body of Jesus-followers, we automatically step onto the battlefield. It is a battle between life and death. And yet, WE, CHURCH, stand on the victor’s side!!! Paul says that when we put on that armor, we stand equipped/protected and ready to fight the accuser.

I, in and of myself, will never be enough. I will never be strong enough. I will never be wise enough or savvy enough… But this is not my battle – I fight because I am HIS! I fight because He calls me His own! I fight because I have not yet entered eternity – and it is my honor and privilege to fight to bring His Kingdom to earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10)!

I am saved! And I choose to step in because I fight for my family, I fight for my church, I fight to cancel the assignments of the enemy against those I love and against those who are presently perishing without hope.

This is not something that should overwhelm us with fear. On the contrary, we are told we have all the right pieces of equipment – and because we are His, we carry the VICTORY!

PRAYER: Today, specifically pray through the armor, imagine yourself putting each piece on, meditate on the function of each and commit it to memory if you haven’t already (you should be ready at a moment’s notice to don this armor). Victory is at hand! Lift high the NAME OF JESUS! We are MORE than conquerors in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37)!
