As promised from yesterday…  Today I will be sharing how to take those places of battle and rewrite them so they are full of LIFE, victory and the Living Word!  This post is going through the scriptures for each step.  Tomorrow I will actually walk you through the steps in writing your own.  
 
Before we move on though, I want to speak to those of you who are struggling with doubt and unbelief… If you don’t truly believe, at the core of your being, the Father’s LOVE for you, please start there.  Lay these “Life Affirmations” aside for now and speak words of life over your identity.  How does the Father see you?  I will post on this next week, as this is FOUNDATIONAL to walking forth boldly and confidently in our walk with Christ!  (In the meantime, please send me a message, as I would love to be praying for you!).  And in the meantime, please meditate on the Truth that you are CHOSEN and that your identity is firmly rooted in being a son or daughter of KING!  It’s not whether you believe it; it is True because HE says it!
 
For it was always in his perfect plan to adopt us as his delightful children, through our union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so that his tremendous love that cascades over us would glorify his grace—for the same love he has for his Beloved One, Jesus, he has for us. And this unfolding plan brings him great pleasure! Ephesians 1:5-6 TPT™
 
STEP 1:  Write in first person.  These are all “I” statements.
 
STEP 2:  Write in present tense.  You are not writing these as “I will be”.  You are calling things that are not as though they be.  You are standing on the promise that His Word does not return void.
 
We call Abraham “father” not because he got God’s attention by living like a saint, but because God made something out of Abraham when he was a nobody. Isn’t that what we’ve always read in Scripture, God saying to Abraham, “I set you up as father of many peoples”? Abraham was first named “father” and then became a father because he dared to trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing. When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn’t do but on what God said he would do. And so he was made father of a multitude of peoples. God himself said to him, “You’re going to have a big family, Abraham!”  Romans 4:17 MSG
 
That’s what the Scripture means when it says: “I have made you the father of many nations.” He is our example and father, for in God’s presence he believed that God can raise the dead and call into being things that don’t even exist yet. Romans 4:17 TPT™
 
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  Isaiah 55:11 KJV
STEP 3: Write in positive terms.  God has called you; He has set you apart!  IF you are a follower of Jesus and have asked Him to be Lord and Savior of your life, then the Father sees you as holy (Ephesians 1:4), righteous (2 Corinthians 5:17-21), and redeemed (Ephesians 1:7).  Your sins are set as far apart as the east is from the west. 
 
The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger and abounding in compassion and loving kindness.
He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins [as we deserve],
Nor rewarded us [with punishment] according to our wickedness.
For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His loving kindness toward those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence].
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.  Psalm 103:8-12 AMP

STEP 4:  Use the Word/the Truth as your guide. We are not writing these statements through the lens of the world. We are writing these statements as citizens of a Kingdom realm. We are HIS and we are allowing HIS definition to define us!  Ask the ONE who made you to direct you as you work through this!
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2 NIV
 
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8 NIV
 

Now it’s time to be made new by every revelation that’s been given to you. And to be transformed as you embrace the glorious Christ-within as your new life and live in union with him! For God has re-created you all over again in his perfect righteousness, and you now belong to him in the realm of true holiness.  Ephesians 4:23-24 TPT™

 
Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead], keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value].  Colossians 3:1-2 AMP

 This is a matter of the heart.  Our flesh and blood struggles come from living in a broken, sinful world.  While “sinner” is no longer the defining word the Father uses to describe us as, sin still runs rampant while we learn to press in and become more like our “brother” (Hebrews 2:11), more like Jesus!  We have to fight the sin nature – and we fight this with the Word of God!
 
I consider your prophecies[c] to be my greatest treasure,
and I memorize them and write them on my heart
to keep me from committing sin’s treason against you. Psalm 119:11 TPT™ 
(This whole Psalm is SO powerful – all about the Word!  Sit in it if time allows for it this week.)
 
Such is the confidence and steadfast reliance and absolute trust that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficiently qualified in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency and qualifications come from God.  2 Corinthians 3:4-5 AMP
 
His plans are for our good.  Part of going through this process is truly believing this in your heart.  I don’t know your story.  I don’t know your struggles, your traumas, your present reality.  I don’t know the words that have been spoken over you.  But I do know our God!  And what I am certain of – is that His Word is TRUE.  It is living and active!  Any darkness that might plague your thoughts and your life – comes through the deceiver.  
 
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
 
STEP 5:  After you have written them up, post them somewhere!  I will have mine on my bathroom wall, so I can speak them aloud each morning.  I can’t tell you how important it is to speak them aloud!  I promise you, His Word breathes LIFE!  You struggles do not define you; HE does!  You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37)!!! 
 
I’m praying for you; I am praying for breakthrough as we allow His Word to refine us and redefine us!
