Brothers and Sisters, what a privilege and honor to come before the throne praying the Word in Unity! Pray that we would be an encouragement to one another and show our appreciation to those who lead. Pray that we would tell our stories – stories of how He overcame and broke every chain!

Read and pray through Ephesians 6:21-24

21–22 I am sending you a dear friend, Tychicus. He is a beloved brother and trustworthy minister in our Lord Jesus. He will share with you all the concerns that I have for your welfare and will inform you of how I am getting along. And he will also prophesy over you to encourage your hearts. 23 So may God shower his peace upon you, my beloved friends. And may the blessings of faith and love fill your hearts from God the Father and from our Lord Jesus, the Messiah. 24 Abundant grace will be with you all as each of you love our Lord Jesus Christ without corruption. Amen!
Love in Christ,
Paul TPT™

(a different translation of the above)

Now, so that you may know how I am and what I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will tell you everything. 22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know how we are, and that he may comfort and encourage and strengthen your hearts.

23 Peace be to the brothers and sisters, and love joined with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with undying and incorruptible love.  AMP

Pray that we would be encouragers of one another in the faith!  Pray that the Lord would embolden us with words to speak life into those broken places of the heart and life into dreams.  Pray that we would be comforters and build into one another’s hearts.  It is because of Christ’s “undying and incorruptible love” that we have this privilege and opportunity to pour into others, from this place of overflow and abundance.

He gave his life for us so that we may share in resurrection life in union with him—whether we’re awake or asleep. 11 Because of this, encourage the hearts of your fellow believers and support one another, just as you have already been doing.

12 Dear brothers and sisters, make sure that you show your deep appreciation for those who cherish you and diligently work as ministers among you. For they are your leaders who care for you, teach you, and stand before the Lord on your behalf. 1 Thessalonians 5:10-12 TPT™

We are meant to be world-changers, ambassadors, a voice that pours out His hope and love and light to a lost and broken world.

We carry the power of the resurrection within us – we once were dead, but now are alive in Christ (Romans 6)!

Show your gratitude and appreciation for those in ministry this next week.  Consider writing a note, sending an email, making a call…  Do not neglect speaking life into those “who care for you, teach you, and stand before the Lord on your behalf”!  (Make a note on your calendar or set a reminder on your phone so you don’t forget!)

“Now salvation and power are set in place,
and the kingdom reign of our God
and the ruling authority of his Anointed One
are established.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
who relentlessly accused them
day and night before our God,
has now been defeated—cast out once and for all!
11 They conquered him completely
through the blood of the Lamb
and the powerful word of his testimony.

They triumphed because they did not love and cling
to their own lives, even when faced with death.
12 So rejoice, you heavens,
and every heavenly being!
But woe to the earth and the sea,
for the devil has come down to you
with great fury, because he knows
his time is short.” Revelation 12:10-12 TPT™ (emphasis is mine)

Revelation 12:11 is one of my favorite verses!  The blood of the Lamb changes EVERYTHING!  But maybe equally so is the power of our stories.  Sometimes people are reticent to anything “Christian”, but will be a captive audience to “your story”.  Your friends will care about your “God-story” because it’s about YOU!  Sometimes this is all the open door we need!

Friends, maybe sharing the Gospel doesn’t come readily to you, but telling your story creates a comfort level and safety because it’s “yours”.  Then start there!  Be BOLD to share your stories of what God has done in your life!  I promise you, it will open doors you never thought possible!

One of my favorite authors is Carl Medearis.  He tells stories of “his friend” with beautiful ease!  He offers another way to share of the reason for the hope that we have (1 Peter 3:15)!  I love his viewpoint on evangelism, as he articulates in Speaking of Jesus.

“When we preach Christianity, we have to own it. When we preach Jesus, we don’t have to own anything. Jesus owns us. We don’t have to defend Him. We don’t even have to explain Him. All we have to do is point with our fingers, like the blind man in the book of John, and say, “There is Jesus. All I know is that He touched me, and where I was once blind, now I see.”

Carl Medearis,  Speaking of Jesus: The Art of Not-Evangelism

I LOVE the beauty of sharing the Gospel with others!  It is powerful and it speaks LIFE!  There are often times though, especially in our present culture, where Christianity is offensive.  We see the evidence of this quite strongly in politics.  The “right-wing” is often correlated with Christianity, judgement, intolerance, and so much more.  While this does not represent most of us, it does create a barrier we need to overcome.

As Carl Medearis “works with international leaders to promote cultural, political, and religious dialogue in the Middle East” (from “About the Author” on Amazon), he has learned the ease of interjecting Jesus into the conversation.

“While others are explaining and defending various isms and ologies we’re simply pointing people to our friend. The one who uncovers and disarms. Who leads people right to himself. The beginning and the end of the story. A good story indeed.”

Carl Medearis,  Speaking of Jesus: The Art of Not-Evangelism

Pray for more opportunities to share Christ this week, this month and this year!  HE is our reason!  HE is the hope for the Church and revival!  The world around us is lost and dying and yet, we have the ANSWER!  Be prepared to give the reason for the hope that you have (1 Peter 3:15) – tell of the risen Savior, tell your story, tell about your friend.

Thank you for joining us for 24 days praying through Ephesians!
