Heading to a New Place

Heading to a New Place

So much unknown lies ahead of us. The uncertainty of the days and months ahead, of church gatherings, school years and conferences dreamed of and planned for – sometimes years in the making.

Do YOU feel it – stalled out, directionless, unmotivated, yearning for wisdom and yet believing worldly wisdom is where the solutions will be found – when what we really need is REVELATION! That stalled out motivation is in the Church, it’s in our homes, it’s deep within many of us. We need knowledge and discernment for NEW and for now. There are no patterns for where we are heading, to where He is calling us – no books written about coming out of pandemics or documentaries to offer insight. There is no church manual on how to navigate these murky waters. We are at a crisis of understanding – with at least two sides listing their definitive list of facts and why “their” reasoning and interpretation of data is the one to follow.

Church people are arguing and shaming one another – calling one another stupid, ignorant, uneducated, simply followers of sensational news or ignorers of facts. Through social media and news, it seems the Church may in fact be more divided than ever before.

Where we are headed, I believe, is brand new. We are navigating through hurdles never dealt with in our lifetime. Where is He calling us?
I feel that part of the response involves some soul searching. I believe the Lord wants to take the Church to a place she has never been before. I feel the “Rise Up” call loud in my spirit. I feel the Lord is asking:

‘Do you want it? Do you really want where I want to take you? For it is going to come at a cost.’

I believe the benefits are yet untold but the cost before we ever get there is going to be “high”. Specifically, I believe He is asking us to lay aside the things and the wisdoms of the world, of which we are holding so fast to. He is asking for a SURRENDER of ALL control. He is asking the Church to “let go and let God”.

Do you see it? Remember, where we are going is a place we have never been to before. There is no rule book. In order for the Church to become all it is supposed to be in the now – we have to concede that going “back to normal” is never going to be an option.

“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland…
because I provide water in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland,
to give drink to my people, my chosen,
the people I formed for myself
that they may proclaim my praise. Isaiah 43:18-20 NIV

Daniel Kolenda comments about this battle –

“God has put us in this world for a purpose. We are part of His divine agenda to push back the powers of darkness and bring God’s kingdom into the earth. This is what our spiritual battles are all about, and nothing could be more important for Christians to understand and take seriously.”

-Taylor Berglund, “The Invisible War”, January/February 2020 Charisma Magazine

There’s a shaking! There is a battle in the heavenlies. The Church is being called to a new level, a greater place of influence and boldness. It’s not a place meant for a few select churches, it is a place meant for the BODY!

The Bride WILL rise up! Will you pray?

PRAYER:  Let’s pray for her courage, her boldness, her fervor, her resoluteness! Pray that she will let go of the things she is not meant to carry. Let’s press in to become the Church Jesus prayed for as He walked this earth.
